About The Wellness Council

Our Mission:
"The Wellness Council for South Carolina is working to improve the health of South Carolina residents and the environment, by increasing education and the active participation of its citizens and organizations."
We are a 501c3 Non-Profit organization whose main purpose is to help educate, create awareness for, and foster the growth of health and wellness throughout the state of South Carolina. We are very active in the community as well as within the schools as we host many events, set up booths at many community organizations and events, and even teach classes to help improve overall wellness in South Carolina.
Through individual memberships, business partnerships, and in cooperation with complementary and integrative health & wellness providers, the Wellness Council for South Carolina provides the following:
- Work to foster the development of self-sustaining wellness & fitness programs
- Initiate implementation and/or supports local and statewide conservation efforts
- Coordinate community wide wellness & conservation activities; and
- Develop resources and delivers educational information to the public at large.
We truly look forward to continuing efforts throughout the State of South Carolina towards true wellness and health!
Meet Our Staff:

Kristi Jacques Falk is the Founder and Executive Director of the Wellness Council for South Carolina. Kristi is passionate about the positive effects "wellness" has on the lives of children and adults in South Carolina.
Diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of 12, Kristi has searched for a healthy path for her life. In 2000, she opened and operated the Abundant Life Whole Foods Market in Conway, SC where her knowledge of healthy lifestyles expanded and was put to good use. After a couple years, she realized that she needed to reach a larger audience and organized the Alternative Healthcare Expo and, later, The Wellness Expo of Myrtle Beach. In 2006, Kristi founded The Wellness Council for South Carolina with a goal of educating and improving the lives of citizens throughout the state.
She has appeared on local television and radio programs, and was features in various publication including: Coastal Business Life, South Carolina Woman Magazine, Natural Awakenings Magazine, and The Sun News. She is currently a member of The Breathe Coalition, Eat Smart/Move More SC, South Carolina Association of Non-Profit Organizations, and The South Carolina Food Policy Council.
Esther Douglass is the Assistant to the Executive Director of the Wellness Council.

Meet Our Board:
Dr. Daniel A. Falk serves as the President of the Board of Directors for The Wellness Council for South Carolina. Dr. Falk's enthusiasm for helping people can be seen each day in his chiropractic practice. He not only treats his patients, but educates the public to live active, healthy lives. Dr. Falk brings his enthusiasm to the Wellness Council to help it achieve it's mission to improve the health of all of South Carolina.
Dr. Falk recieved his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) from Parker College of Chiropractic, along with a B.S. in Anatomy. He also recieved a B.A. in Biologival Sciences, with a minor in Economics from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Although Dr. Falk specializes in a family Chiropractic practice, he also has significant training in sports chiropractic; having worked with tri-athletes as an 'IronDoc' at the Iron Man Championship Competition in Hawaii, and he was the official chiropractic physician of the Carolina Spartans, the Professional Women's Football Team of Myrtle Beach. He is currently the District 2 Director for the South Carolina Chiropractic Association, as well as a member of The American Chiropractic Association, Kiwanis of Conway, Rotary of Conway, Conway Chamber of Commerce, and the Conway Toastmasters.

Rev. Dr. Ramona Bryant is the Membership Chair of the Wellness Council for South Carolina. She is also the Executive Directior of G.O.A.L-Great Outcomes are Limitless. An organization that teaches the practical, everyday use of Metaphysics. Dr. Hall holds a Doctorate in Metaphysics, and is an ordained Metaphysical Minister. She is a supporting member of the Myrtle beach Ministerian Alliance.
